The NBA is back in action as the Miami Heat will clash with the Indiana Pacers on the hardwood down in the Sunshine State. The Heat has a 15-11 edge in head to head playoff wins and have taken three of the previous four series between the teams.
Miami Heat Form
The Heat are not in good form at the moment. Moreover, they have lost four of their last five seeding games in the bubble to drop to the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. However, they managed to open the postseason on a positive note. Now, they have a 3-1 lead as they won the 3rd game of the series against the Pacers with a score of 113-101. They are a good team and improved significantly in the last two games.
During the regular season, Butler led the team with 19.9 points, six assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He was supported by Bam Adebayo as Miami Center averaged 15.9 points per game and a team-high 10.2 rebounds per game. The Heat, have depth and balance throughout the roster including Gorgan Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Tyler Herro.
Indiana Pacers Form
The Pacers are were unable to hang in late against the Heat as they repeatedly came up empty when it came to getting buckets in crunch time. So the Pacers have to bounce back and get back in the win column in order to square the series and avoid a 2-0 series deficit. The Indiana Pacers will be (once again) without their big man Domantas Sabonis who has averaged 18.5 points per game and 12.4 rebounds on the season. Sabonis has not played since the restart as his last game was on March 10.
During the regular season, the Pacers were placed on the 23rd in offensive scoring, putting up 109.4 points per game but are the third-best team in the league in terms of defensive scoring, holding their opponents to 107.5 points per night.
This is a game that game goes both ways. Therefore, I will go with the under option for this clash. Both teams are good on the defensive line and I expect that they will focus on maintaining a strong defensive shape throughout the game. Take the Under 215 for this game.
