Wake Forest vs. Boston College, second game of the third week, so far the home team has no home losses, two solid victories one on the road and another at home, but no against division rival. The Eagles (Boston College) also have a similar record, two wins without conference games. Both teams know that tonight they can secure a victory for the conference, and a victory in this conference means a lot to each team.
Wake Forest: We are powerful.
The Demon Deacons showed power in the first games opening the season, the first game against Tulane was in favor of the Deacons but Tulane managed to tie the game, then the Deacons won overtime with a touchdown. The second game was a much stronger victory against Towson, 38 points in the first half and 13 points in the second half to win the game 51-20. Last season the Demon Deacons closed 8-5 overrall, 4-4 at the conference (ACC Atlantic) and 4-2 at home.
Sam Hartman had a good debut against Tulane in that tight game, practically he was the savior of that game. Two victories for Hartman in the season, 61.5% of passes completed, 48 passes completed this season with an average of 7.9 yards per pass, 4 passing touchdowns and only three interceptions this year. The Deacons are averaging 54 rushes per game at home, 340 rush yards, and 13.5 points per quarter.
Boston College: We have good numbers.
The Eagles also had a good start to the season in the first two weeks, much better than last year when the team lost in the second week against the same team in this game (the Deacons). The first game of 2018 in the first week was against University of Massachusetts Amherst, 48 in the first half and just one touchdown in the second to win the game 55-21. The second game against Holy Cross, that game was a massacre, in each quarter the Eagles scored up to 3 maximum touchdowns.
EJ Perry has 2 victories in his second year as a quarterback, last season he had no participation in any of the games. 81.3% of passes completed, 13 completions, 131 total yards in passes, 2 touchdown passes and zero interceptions so far. Most likely, Perry plays the first half against Wake Forest.
