New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens, NFL Sunday Night Football Week 9. The Ravens receive the undefeated Patriots at home. The home team knows how dangerous it will be to play against the Patriots in the ninth week of the season. The Raven have a three-week winning streak winning, but the team knows that winning against the Patriots will be difficult. The only advantage that the Ravens have is to play at home with a positive record.
New England Patriots: We can win against any team.
The Patriots closed week eight with a victory against the Cleveland Browns 23-13 at home. That was the last October game for the Patriots. Now the team opens this month with two games on the road (Ravens and Eagles) to return home and play against the Cowboys. The record on the road for the Patriots is positive with 4-0-0. The victories on the road were against Dolphins, Bills, Redskins and Jets.
On the road the Patriots are scoring an average of 31.2 points per game, 29.8 rushes with 101 rush yards, 24.2 completed passes with 241.5 pass yards. The offense is lethal in the first half with 15.6 points on average. The defense is one of the best on the road allowing only 4.2 points per game this season with 19.2 rushes and 100.8 rush yards.
Tom Brady will be available for this game despite having shoulder pain. Last week Brady launched his third game with 20 completed passes or less and with the lowest effectiveness so far in the season with only 55.56%. So far Brady has 64.72% with 200 completed passes, 2251 yards, 13 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, 95 overall rating.
Baltimore Ravens: We will not give in to anyone.
The Ravens no longer have Joe Flacco, but that hasn’t prevented the team from winning games this season. The first two games of the season were victories for the Ravens against Dolphins 59-10 and at home against Cardinals 23-17. But then the team lost two consecutive weeks. For now in the last three weeks everything has been positive winning against Steelers 26-23, Bengals 23-17 and Seahawks 30-16. The record at home is 2-1.
At home the Ravens are scoring an average of 23.7 points per game, 35 rushes with 208 rush yards, 23 completed passes with 236 pass yards. The home defense is pity, the team is allowing 24.7 points per game, 18 rushes with 82 rush yards, 22 completed passes with 294.3 pass yards.
Lamar Jackson as starting quarterback is having good numbers. 63.26% with 136 completed passes, 1650 yards, 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, 94.1 rating overall. 83 personal rushes for only three touchdowns. At home, Jackson has averaged 65% in completed passes with a total of 755 pass yards.
